Howard Hanson Dam: After heavy rains in Seattle last January, the Army Corps of Engineers inspected the Howard Hanson Dam, located in the Green River Valley. They have since determined that it poses a considerable risk of flooding in the valley, and have been working diligently to repair parts of the dam to reduce the risk to residents and businesses.
